Let’s ignite young people’s joy of reading without the need to inflict ANY financial burden on families. Some ideas:
Have fun making book marks using school supplies
Organise a story telling event e.g. P7 pupils could read to P1 pupils
Create a buzz at school by having an Author visit
Host a costume swap rail
Organise a poster competition promoting events (winner could enjoy a story read by their favourite teacher)
Invite Parents in to school to read with their children whilst enjoying refreshments
