Check out the amazing makeover of the Resource Room at Dedridge Primary School! 😍 With funding secured, by The School Bank West Lothian from Climate Action West Lothian , we’ve helped kit out several local schools with everything they need to establish their own uniform recycling hubs. πŸ’šβ™»οΈ

These spaces are all about:

βœ…Providing uniform at the point of need

βœ… Promoting sustainability by reusing high-carbon-footprint clothing

βœ… Reducing the financial strain on families

βœ… Empowering young people to care for the environment

Talk about a win-win! 🌍✨

Swipe to see the before and after pics at Dedridge Primary Schoolβ€”what a difference! Massive shout-out to Lisa, the powerhouse Principle Teacher at Dedridge, for her enthusiasm and vision, and to our very own Janine, who scoped out what the school needed and worked tirelessly (we’re talking sweat and tears!) over two days to transform this space into something truly special. πŸ™ŒπŸ‘

Lisa told us “children look smarter and have a sense of pride in their uniform – heads are held higher. We also have a Cost of the School Day leadership group who have already launched a competition to give the new and improved Resource Hour a new name, using pupil voice throughout the school. This group are also keen to help with the sorting on uniforms and PE kits as donations are made and record the amount we are saving going to landfill”. πŸ§’πŸ‘•πŸ‘Ÿ

It’s amazing to see schools embracing more sustainable, supportive approaches to uniform access. Let’s keep making a difference, one school at a time! πŸ’«πŸ’ͺ
