Another Transformation – This Time at James Young High School!
Say hello to the all-new “JY High Street” – a secondary school uniform hub that’s gone from a bare-bones room with very little equipment to a well-organised, professional and welcoming space for pupils to access the uniform they need, when they need it. 
Thanks to funds secured from Climate Action West Lothian and support from The School Bank West Lothian, James Young High School now has a dedicated area where students can access uniforms, jackets, shoes & more:
Donate pre-loved items – like blazers, school badged jumpers, and ties that still have plenty of life left
Access without stigma – keeping things simple, supportive and sustainable to ensure every young person has the right kit to fit in
Huge shout out to Graham (Teacher) and Gill (Family Link Practitioner) who, alongside our superstar Janine (Project Worker), put in the time, energy and heart to make this resource a reality. 
With school uniforms often being a financial strain—especially expensive items like blazers—this hub is a practical, planet-friendly solution that helps all students feel prepared and included, removing one more barrier during a critical time in their education.
It’s more than just clothes—it’s about dignity, opportunity and support.
