Challenge Poverty Week starts today! The week kicked off with two of our team, Collette and Roz, attending the Tackling Poverty Conference at Howden Park, raising awareness of our service and networking with partners and the public. The girls were very interested to hear from all the speakers including Sue Lyons Mcs (Board Member of the Poverty Alliance) discussing the impact of persistent and deep poverty as well as hearing from Bonnie (employee of The Larder) who really brought home the importance of understanding and listening to the lived experience of people in community. Many thanks to Saima, Nahid, Gillan, and the team at West Lothian Council for organising this event.
